West : Water

West : Water

Cleanse • Wisdom • Abundance

We have arrived at our last stop on this adventure: West. which is fitting since it’s the direction where the sun sets to bring the day to a close.

In human life, West represents the emotional dimension, the realm of feelings and intuition.

For many, emotions are a tricky subject. We may have been taught as a young kid that our emotions are “too much” or if we express them “bad things happen”. Especially as women, we’ve been taught to suppress our emotions, opting instead to be agreeable and “good”.

West is here to remind us that there is great power in our emotions. And that in fact, they have the ability, like water, to wash away the rough edges and teach us how to be fluid and trusting.

West is the fluid container of feminine consciousness and has the power to cleanse, dissolve, and remind us of the potential held in surrender.

Anger

Joy

Envy

Grief

Anxiety

It’s all welcome here.

To embrace the West, we must honor the emotional dimension of our lives through the eyes of the Wise Woman: to harvest the wisdom of our experiences, and to honor the cycles of completion and new beginnings.

When we embrace our emotions we come to see that they are wise and powerful messengers. And a connection to the intuitive wisdom that flows within us.

To deepen your relationship with this powerful archetype, here are 5 reflective questions that will help you become more attuned to the wisdom of West: the Wise Woman, and the sacred power of our emotions.

  1. Let’s get meta- How do I feel about emotions? Do I let myself feel them freely or do I minimize and suppress them? How can I create space to reflect on and honor these feelings more deeply?"
  2. What aspects of my life or emotions need cleansing and healing? Is there something I’m holding onto or not saying that I can release.
  3. How do I currently listen to and trust my intuition?
  4. Reflect on a recent experience or phase in your life that has come to completion. What lessons and wisdom have you harvested from this cycle, and how can you honor this process of completion?
  5. "In what areas of my life do I feel emotionally rigid or stuck? How can I embrace the fluidity and non-fixity of Water to allow my emotions to flow more freely and adapt to life's changes?

Use these questions to explore your relationship with the West and the element of Water, and to discover what wise messages are coming to you through your emotions.of Water, allowing its nurturing and cleansing energy to guide you to deeper self-awareness and emotional well-being.

With deep love and grounded blessings,

Tanicia
